This much talked about sci-fi thriller premiered at Sundance in January, and in today’s Insider View we hear from some of the key creatives who devised and executed the stunning visuals for this hallucinatory smorgasbord of body horror, manufactured identifies, and terrifying misuse of future technologies.

Chandler Levack | Journalist and Filmmaker

Chandler Levack is an award-winning writer, journalist and filmmaker from Toronto. She has written for publications that include Rolling Stone, CBC, and The Village Voice, and is a current film critic for the Globe and Mail. In 2017, her first short film We Forgot to Break Up premiered at TIFF and SXSW. She is currently developing her first feature film as a writer-director, I Like Movies, with support from Telefilm’s Talent to Watch program.

Lori Fischburg | Line Producer/Production Manager

After finishing her film studies at Ryerson University, Lori decided to see the world and worked as a travel agent before joining Universal Music in their video distribution department. Attending Sundance, Austin and TIFF film festivals as a buyer, Lori renewed her love for film and went on to work for various Toronto producers, honing her skills as a Line Producer and Production Manager. In 2015, Lori produced “Portal to Hell” with Andrew Rosen, a generously reviewed horror short starring the late Roddy Piper. 2015 brought her Sook Yin Lee’s “Octavio is Dead” starring Sarah Gadon (Enemy) and “Clara” starring Patrick J. Adams (Suits). In 2018 Lori line produced “Tammy’s Always Dying” (TIFF 2019), directed by Amy Jo Johnson and in 2019, was production manager on “Possessor”, Brandon Cronenberg’s epic horror masterpiece. Most recently, Lori line produced “Night Raiders”, Danis Goulet’s indigenous sci fi thriller and was the production manager for “Broken Heart Gallery”, a rom com starring Dacre Montgomery (Stranger Things). Lori’s next project is called “Farnsworth House”, produced by Robert Lantos and starring Ralph Fiennes.
