Synopsis:
A socially awkward but highly enterprising teenager decides to acquire a “mail-order best friend”; a sophisticated exchange student from France. Instead, he ends up importing his personal nightmare; a cologne-soaked, chain smoking, sex-obsessed piece of Eurotrash who quickly becomes the hero of his community. Based on a true story, The Exchange taps into the nostalgia of writer Tim Long’s experience growing up in 1980s small town Canada.
