Synopsis:
June 6, 1944. Thousands of Allied troops, including 14,000 Canadians, stormed the beaches of Normandy during World War II. CTV honours them in D-Day Remembered-The 75th Anniversary. CTV News’ Chief Anchor Lisa LaFlamme is joined by Your Morning co-host Anne-Marie Mediwake, CTV Correspondent Omar Sachedina, retired Lt-Gen Romeo Dallaire and military historian Mike Bechthold for the live broadcast from France.
