Synopsis:

Fentanyl is one of the most destructive waves of illegal drugs to hit North America since Pablo Escobar flooded the continent with cheap and powerful cocaine. Fentanyl is a killer, a destructive epidemic that is showing no signs of letting up. Through the eyes of four insiders in the fentanyl industry, Dam Builder Productions will take the audience inside this world in way that will fascinate and outrage. Robert Osborne is a multi award winning investigative journalist, writer and television director. He’s spent more than thirty years working for national shows such as CTV’s WFive, CBC’s Marketplace, Pacific Report and Global Television’s National News. He’s also developed a significant career as a feature writer, providing investigative articles for the Toronto Star, Globe and Mail and the National Post. In 2012 he moved into the documentary field working first for the series “Drugs Inc.” on National Geographic channel, then as a script editor for The Beaver Whisperers on CBC’s The Nature of Things. Robert has also worked on projects with Discovery Channel and the BBC. During the past two years, he researched, directed, wrote and produced the documentary Unstoppable: The Fentanyl Epidemic for CBC’s Firsthand.
