Synopsis:

For a few months every year, isolated first-nations communities in Northern Manitoba and North Western Ontario are able to receive supplies and construction materials by road. When the muskeg freezes, temporary roads are built over hundreds of kilometers of ice, along frozen rivers and across lakes. Ice Road Truckers is a documentary series that follows the long-haul drivers who risk life and limb on these roads.
