It’s 1972, and a small-town girl is accepted into the National Ballet School and selected to play “Clara” in The Nutcracker. Unfortunately, that’s when she finds out about the “Curse of Clara”, which threatens to derail everything. Thankfully, she’s got a good friend, the 1972 Summit Series and an imaginary mentor (in the form of Phil Esposito) to keep her “on pointe.”
