Synopsis:

Jumbo was the most famous creature on earth – its first animal celebrity. For a century, the elephant’s superstar life in Europe and America, and his tragic death in Canada, was cloaked in mystery. Now, his long-buried story, and the secrets that surround it, are revealed through an extraordinary journey from the heart of Africa to St. Thomas, Ontario.

Over two decades, Christine Nielsen has left her mark as a television producer, writer, director, and journalist across multiple genres. She helped create international series as a showrunner & writer. As a producer and writer, her credits include documentary series such as MegaBuilders, docudrama series Trapped and CTV’s ground-breaking feature, The Pig Farm. She was executive producer of programming for Discovery Canada responsible for more than 100 hours of programming. Christine has won a Gemini for Best Documentary Program, a WGC Screenwriter’s Award, and numerous international awards for writing and directing films such as The Somalia Affair and Beijing Massacre.
