Campus Sexual Harassment: A CBC News Investigation

2017 Best Reportage, National

Share on:

Following a tip we received, and after weeks and weeks of work, we broadcast a series of stories revealing a disturbing pattern at Canadian universities: students were being told to keep quiet after being sexually harassed, in some cases, by professors. The stories mostly centred around a particular professor from Brock University in Ontario, but also resulted in others coming forward to tell similar stories in Manitoba and British Columbia. Following our investigation students protested, professors complained, schools apologized and policies were changed.
