CONTEST RULES & ELIGIBILITY
This contest is administered by The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television (the “Canadian Academy”).
No purchase necessary. Open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province/territory at the time of entry. Void where prohibited.
Employees, representatives, and agents of the Canadian Academy, its affiliates, subsidiaries, prize sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies, members of their immediate families (regardless of residence) and persons living in the same households of each of the above (whether or not related) are not eligible to enter.
Contest begins on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 and ends on Friday, April 24 at 5:00 PM ET. (the “Contest Period”).
To enter, entrant must be a follower of @thecdnacademy on Instagram, “like” the official contest post and comment which 2026 Nominee(s) they’re rooting for + tag who they would like to attend the award show with.
Multiple entries are permitted. Each additional comment submitted by an entrant will be deemed one (1) separate entry into the Contest.
There will be one (1) prize pack awarded, consisting of:
- Two (2) tickets to The 2026 Canadian Screen Awards show, hosted by Andrew Phung, in Toronto, Ontario; (Value: $1,430 CAD)

- Attendance for you and a guest to the Canadian Screen Awards Filmmaker Industry Panel “Focal Point: The Art of Directing a Frame” (Sunday, May 31, 2026) ($60 CAD)
The total approximate retail value of the prize is $1,490 CAD.
The prize must be accepted as awarded and is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and has no cash surrender value. The prize may not be sold, assigned, or otherwise transferred to another person.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received before contest closes.
One (1) eligible entrant will be selected as the winner in a random draw from all eligible entries received.
Selected entrant will be chosen by random draw on or about April 27, 2026 in Toronto, Ontario. Selected entrant will be contacted via direct message from the Canadian Academy’s official Instagram account, @thecdnacademy, and must respond within 24 hours of notification.
To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question and may be required to sign and return a declaration and release form.
If the selected entrant cannot be contacted, fails to respond in time, does not correctly answer the skill-testing question, or does not meet eligibility requirements, they will be disqualified and an alternate entrant may be selected.
The Canadian Screen Award show prize includes event tickets only. The Canadian Academy is not responsible for any transportation, travel, accommodation, meals, incidental expenses, or any other costs associated with attending the award show in Toronto, Ontario. All such expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner and their guest.
The Canadian Academy reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend, or terminate the contest at any time for any reason.
By entering the contest, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Canadian Academy, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this contest.
