It’s Tet at the Pham house and the whole Pham clan has arrived to celebrate the new year in style. Andrew’s parents, Linh and Danh show up unexpectedly to host the celebration at the Pham house, surprising Andrew’s sister Carol who was originally meant to host. After much confusion and a classic Vietnamese Wraparound, Andrew and Carol realize that Linh refuses to let Carol host until she has children of her own. Shocked and hurt, Carol leans on Andrew for support in her decision not to have children. But Andrew, recently the golden child after a glowing magazine review of his Early Hours Nightclub project, is reluctant to go against his mother’s wishes. Babies are also on the minds of Camille and Sam, who’s recently been afflicted with severe baby fever - it’s up to Camille to show Sam the many difficulties of raising children.
