Just Keep Fighting: The Brady Leavold Story

Synopsis:

It seems like a lifetime ago, but Brady Leavold was a standout in the Western Hockey League. He was the Swift Current Broncos’ Rookie of the Year. He skated alongside Steven Stamkos at the Tampa Bay Lightning’s development camp. Leavold held up the appearance of a promising young player as long as he could but a lifetime’s worth of privately harboured abuses and addictions eventually sent him spiraling. Today, Leavold is mending burnt bridges and advocating for mental health in the hockey community. Thousands of players––from aspiring youngsters to current-day NHLers––have been touched by his compassion and storytelling: his message to anyone who listens is “You are not alone.” Leavold’s remarkable journey is proof positive you are never too far gone to return and there is always another chance to chase a dream.
