Synopsis:

W5 explores what prompts seemingly rational people to go down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories. Sarah Huxley’s partner became obsessed with theories suggesting the world was ending. All his rational thought, education and business success suddenly became irrelevant. Why? The right barometer really lies in a person’s level of distress. The COVID pandemic helped exacerbate that.
