Due to the pandemic, theatres across Canada closed their doors. Amidst a summer of civil reckoning Obsidian, Canada’s premiere theatre company for Black artists, teamed up with CBC Arts to present 21 visionary imaginings of the future of Black Canadians. 21 Black Futures is an ambitious anthology that challenges how audiences witness theatre through a screen.
