Synopsis:
How do you tell a story about a squadron of female pilots who ferried aircraft from North America to World War Two. Through the tales of survivors, of course. But also through strong visual research. W5‘s visual research team dug through archives in Canada, Britain and the United States, They collected images from family and surviving ATA Girl pilots – all to visually tell the story of an important chapter of wartime history.
