Synopsis:

International Women’s Day 2019 was celebrated all day long on CBC, beginning with a women’s panel streamed across the country on our CBC platforms. This elite panel featured the Minister of Sport, the Head of the COC, several Olympians and a Coach and Business women involved in professional sport. CBC’s Social/Digital team also captured and shared content from female athletes all over the globe with their messages of support. Video content featuring historic female athletes, modern day leaders and sport information was spread throughout the web all day… including our News Network.
