Congratulations on your 2023 Canadian Screen Awards nomination. We can’t wait to celebrate you and your incredible work during Canadian Screen Week 2023 in April.

The Canadian Screen Awards in film, television, and digital media will be handed out over seven shows throughout Canadian Screen Week 2023,  taking place live at Meridian Hall in Toronto from Tuesday, April 11, 2023 through to Friday, April 14, 2023.

The week will culminate with The Canadian Screen Awards with Samantha Bee, a star-studded broadcast special airing only on CBC and CBC Gem on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 8:00 (9:00 AT / 9:30 NT).

Please note: ALL nominees and their guests are required to have a ticket for each event they attend, including the gala at which their award will be presented. For all events requiring a ticket, please be sure to book your tickets with the box office team and have your digital ticket(s) on hand for the event(s).

Nominees who are current voting members of the Academy:

May order one non-transferable, complimentary ticket to the awards ceremony they are nominated.

 AND

May purchase one additional ticket at a discounted rate (see rates below).

Nominees who are not current voting members of the Academy:

May purchase a voting membership and order the complimentary ticket.

OR

May purchase a maximum of two tickets at the discounted rate (see rates below).

The Academy provides subsidies for membership fees to underrepresented professionals in the screen industry. Membership includes complimentary access to all year-round programming and, as a nominee, allows for a free single ticket booking under the “Nominee Member” rate. Venue Information.

The 2023 Canadian Screen Awards will be presented at Meridian Hall in Toronto from
Tuesday, April 11 – Friday, April 14, 2023

Getting There

Meridian Hall

1 Front Street E.

Toronto, ON M5E 1B2

Meridian Hall is easily accessible by car, TTC, GO Transit, and UP Express.

A short drive north of the Yonge Street exit off Lakeshore Boulevard/Gardiner Expressway.

Those taking transit can reach Meridian Hall with a short walk two blocks east of Union Station.

Parking

Meridian Hall has no onsite parking available, except for a limited number of spaces for guests with accessible needs (see below).

Public parking can be found at several lots in the local area, including at:

 

Brookfield Place, 181 Bay Street, across from Meridian Hall
Scott Street, public lot just east of Meridian Hall
The Esplanade, public lot just south of Meridian Hall

 

Limited metered street parking is available in the surrounding streets.

Venue Accessibility.

The orchestra level of Meridian Hall is barrier free for patrons using wheelchairs or similar assistive devices. The mezzanine and lower lobby spaces can be accessed via elevator from the main lobby. 

Accessible washrooms are located on all levels. Meridian Hall maintains specific wheelchair-accessible seating locations on the orchestra and mezzanine levels.

Parking for Patrons with Disabilities

Meridian Hall has limited accessible parking in the main driveway available on a first-come, first-served basis. For inquiries about accessible parking or to book an accessible spot, please call the Meridian Hall Box office at 416-368-6161 x7135.

Assistive Devices

Patrons using assistive devices such as wheelchairs or walkers will be accommodated in an accessible area of the theatre. A wheelchair is available at Meridian Hall for use by patrons during their visit. Please let our box office team know if you require accessible seating.

Dress Code.

Formal, Semi-Formal or Black Tie Optional is encouraged.

Red Carpet.

The Academy welcomes ALL 2023 Canadian Screen Award nominees to have their special moment captured on the red carpet during the pre-awards cocktail hour. Once you have scanned your ticket upon arrival, nominees can proceed to the “Nominees Red Carpet” located within the main floor reception area. Please note that most of the red carpet events are approximately 1 hour; therefore, it may not be feasible to photograph every nominee, however, we will try our best to accommodate as many nominees within the limited timeframe and suggest arriving early to ensure that there is time to have your photo taken.
