KARETHE LINAAE - NATP 1994-95

"I hope the NATP program has grown to be an intricate part in young and up and coming Canadian directors film training. It is a potentially very helpful tool, seeing how other film-makers work, and certainly not an experience and knowledge one can acquire from any film school."

Karethe Linaae was born in Norway and has been residing mostly in Canada for the last two decades. Karethe holds a double master in Film and Creative Writing, in addition to a handful of other fine art degrees. Karethe has worked in various capacities in both film and theatre all of her life, and has also been a single mother for most of it. At present she earns her living as an art director and production designer (www.snobb.net) on TV commercials. She feeds her soul by helping the less fortunate through www.artforaidsorphans.com, an annual art auction to benefit children orphaned and affected by HIV and AIDS, that she founded together with a South African director.
