Canadian Screen Awards first ever CBC gala broadcast reaches 2.9 million Canadians, wins 756,000 viewers and generates 11.8 million impressions on social media

Toronto/ Montréal – Wednesday, March 6, 2013- The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television is pleased to announce that the first ever Canadian Screen Awards marked an important milestone in the history of Canadian film, television and digital media on Sunday evening when more than 2.9 million people tuned in to CBC television for the gala broadcast, which earned an average audience of 756,000 viewers.

Amber Marshall wins the title of first-ever Canada’s Screen Star
