 This week, we travel to Calgary, Alberta for the 24th Annual Gemini Awards Broadcast Gala on Saturday November 14. We are thrilled to bring the Gemini Awards to this diverse and vibrant city as we continue to travel the awards show across the country. Special thanks to our partners for their support and commitment – the Government of Alberta, Tourism Calgary, the City of Calgary, Calgary Economic Development, and the Host City Committee. Together, we look forward to rolling out the red carpet for all of our guests!
This year’s awards gala will be broadcast live from the historic BMO Centre Stampede Corral. Host Ron James will be joined by a fantastic line-up of Canadian celebrities including rising star and Calgary native Cory Monteith, the multi-talented Hugh Dillon, and Alex Lifeson from the legendary band RUSH. Additionally, we will be paying special tribute to three groundbreaking Canadian comedies that recently wrapped their final seasons - Corner Gas, Royal Canadian Air Farce, and Trailer Park Boys will be honoured for their outstanding and enduring contributions to the Canadian television industry.
We have much to celebrate - without a doubt, the Broadcast Gala will be a night to be remembered! If you aren’t joining us in person, be sure to tune in to the live broadcast on Global and Showcase.
